Constantino Cordarrel was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Richard Rogers put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Constantino Cordarrel. Constantino Cordarrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franz Scargill in the 17th minute of the match. Luis Liberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hector Vergaray received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. John-Paul Nevin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John-Paul Nevin made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Lisandro Primeiro sent off a good shot on target. Steve Stamer hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. John-Paul Nevin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lisandro Primeiro in the 34th minute. If Richard Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Syd Kinsey in the 39th minute of play forced Viktoria43's goalkeeper Constantino Cordarrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Viktoria43 getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Inocencio Sabin hit a great ball. After 47 minutes, Inocencio Sabin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Viktoria43 and the Polzeath players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 48th match minute, Viktoria43 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocencio Sabin to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lisandro Primeiro made a kick off. After 53 minutes, Luis Liberto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Viktoria43 and the Polzeath players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Viktoria43's Luis Liberto got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Polzeath's Richard Rogers ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Constantino Cordarrel. Constantino Cordarrel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Darius Bell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Constantino Cordarrel made a huge save. Constantino Cordarrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Polzeath's zone, Hector Vergaray stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John-Paul Nevin came out of the goal and Hector Vergaray tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the match, Polzeath's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Vergaray came free, but John-Paul Nevin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Lisandro Primeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John-Paul Nevin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 played minutes Viktoria43 got a freekick which was hit by Inocencio Sabin. Steve Stamer, 69 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Constantino Cordarrel made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Syd Kinsey sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Viktoria43 booed when Polzeath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conan Hogg didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Polzeath getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Steve Stamer hit a great ball. Luis Liberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John-Paul Nevin having to interfere. Constantino Cordarrel was a little too slow when Franz Scargill got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 0-4. In the 83rd match minute, Polzeath was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stephen Stevens to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Edelmiro Estefan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Polzeath's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
