Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Richard Rogers got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, LaAlpina FC's Ildefonso Hanot got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 7th minute, Elias Erroman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LaAlpina FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 13th match minute, Polzeath was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franz Scargill to maneuver through the defense. John-Paul Nevin came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by LaAlpina FC's Elias Erroman. But to his dismay, Elias Erroman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Moises Palos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carmelo Ugutz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John-Paul Nevin having to interfere. Federico Galoer made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Syd Kinsey sent off a good shot on target. John-Paul Nevin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Ugutz in the 36th minute of the match. Carmelo Ugutz took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised John-Paul Nevin. John-Paul Nevin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After the first half LaAlpina FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carmelo Ugutz was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Darius Bell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Federico Galoer was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 58th minute, Darius Bell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Polzeath fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Federico Galoer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darius Bell in the 61st minute of the match. Federico Galoer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Polzeath's zone, Carmelo Ugutz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John-Paul Nevin came out of the goal and Carmelo Ugutz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. John-Paul Nevin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carmelo Ugutz in the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute Franz Scargill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Galoer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 78 played minutes Polzeath got a freekick which was hit by Jeff Bateman. After having played for 79 minutes, Carmelo Ugutz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LaAlpina FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carmelo Ugutz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 84 minutes into the game, Elias Erroman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. John-Paul Nevin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With 88 minutes on the clock, Isidoro Bautista commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of LaAlpina FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Polzeath:s goal. Franz Scargill hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Federico Galoer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darius Bell in the 96th minute of the match. The supporters of LaAlpina FC booed when Polzeath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Syd Kinsey didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Polzeath's goalkeeper John-Paul Nevin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The LaAlpina FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
