In the 13th minute Mehmet Halis Türemen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julián Aballe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julián Aballe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mehmet Halis Türemen went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 18 minutes into the match, Alicante FC's Marco Saez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ferit Suersan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 20 minutes, Mehmet Halis Türemen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BURSASPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehmet Halis Türemen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rd match minute, Alicante FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mustafá Carceles to maneuver through the defense. Julián Aballe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Halis Türemen in the 24th minute of play. BURSASPOR's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Marco Saez scored to the left of an out of position Ferit Suersan, making the score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Enol Soto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alicante FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Enol Soto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferit Suersan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alicante FC's Marco Saez got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julián Aballe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Halis Türemen in the 41st minute of the match. Ferit Suersan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mustafá Carceles in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Enol Soto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alicante FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kiko Castelao made a kick off. Román Baeza hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute of the match Mehmet Halis Akasoy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julián Aballe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 60th minute Enol Soto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferit Suersan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kiko Castelao struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Ferit Suersan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alicante FC. After a rather tough play, Alicante FC's Mustafá Carceles got a free kick in the 64th minute. Ferit Suersan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Saez, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. If Enol Soto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th match minute, BURSASPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Halis Akasoy to maneuver through the defense. Ferit Suersan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kiko Castelao, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After a rather tough play, BURSASPOR's Cebrail Utku got a free kick in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the match, BURSASPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Enol Soto came free, but Ferit Suersan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enol Soto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ferit Suersan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enol Soto's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Kiko Castelao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferit Suersan having to interfere. Alicante FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
