Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Richard Rogers took the kick off in the first half of the match. Angelo Bordat made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Darius Bell sent off a good shot on target. After 4 played minutes Brea got a freekick which was hit by Pastor Naelio. If Richard Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Jerardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. John-Paul Nevin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pastor Naelio kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Polzeath's John-Paul Nevin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Calixto in the 17th minute of play. Darius Bells short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Angelo Bordat to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 25th minute Frazer Stone suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Benito Favila's late challenge caught a Polzeath's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benito Favila helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Benito Favila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Darius Bell got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Fabio Calixto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franz Scargill during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Polzeath's Franz Scargill got a free kick in the 38th minute. Fabio Calixto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
55 minutes into the game, Darius Bell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Angelo Bordat was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Brea getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Ruben Tercero hit a great ball. Patricio Jerardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. John-Paul Nevin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fabio Calixto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Polzeath's zone, Patricio Jerardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John-Paul Nevin came out of the goal and Patricio Jerardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Patricio Jerardo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Fabio Calixto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Polzeath's goalkeeper John-Paul Nevin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patricio Jerardo. The supporters of Brea booed when Polzeath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franz Scargill didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patricio Jerardo got free with John-Paul Nevin in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 89 minutes Polzeath's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ruben Tercero who took care of the corner kick. Patricio Jerardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Fabio Calixto fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brea's protests and gave Fabio Calixto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Brea getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Fabio Calixto hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Polzeath had won after a very even match.
