The crowd rose to their feet as Alicante FC's Enol Soto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dalmacio Maura. That made the score 2-0 after 13 minutes of play. Rolando Kiliz charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Constantino Blasi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Julián Aballe made a huge save. Rolando Kiliz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julián Aballe having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Kiko Castelao left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alicante FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Marco Saez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmacio Maura having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Enol Soto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dalmacio Maura was relentless in the 86th minute of the game.
