In the 14th minute, Alexandre Varela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Constantino Cordarrel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Constantino Cordarrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamílton Couto in the 16th minute of the match. After 18 minutes of play, Giru EC's Hamílton Couto made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Constantino Cordarrel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hamílton Couto scored 0-4 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Constantino Cordarrel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th match minute, Viktoria43 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocencio Sabin to maneuver through the defense. Laerte Nóbrega took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Constantino Cordarrel. Viktoria43's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Constantino Cordarrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamílton Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Zeca Pimenta hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Hugo Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Vergaray in the 40th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the game, Alexandre Varela cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hamílton Couto made a kick off. Hamílton Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viktoria43's Constantino Cordarrel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Viktoria43 from getting a goal against them. After 56 minutes, Armando Queiroz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Giru EC and the Viktoria43 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Constantino Cordarrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamílton Couto in the 59th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Alexandre Varela had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Constantino Cordarrel. Viktoria43's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexandre Varela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. The supporters of Viktoria43 booed when Giru EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugo Montenegro came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Viktoria43's Luis Liberto. But to his dismay, Luis Liberto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Hugo Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Estefan in the 75th minute of play. Laerte Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantino Cordarrel having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Nicolas Fonseca took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Constantino Cordarrel to make any attempt to save it. Alexandre Varela could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Constantino Cordarrel made a huge save. Giru EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
