Giru EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Varela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moisés Carioca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hugo Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomé Pombal in the 4th minute of the match. Valdemar Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Hamílton Couto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Oudri Kanda's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Varela came free, but Moisés Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moisés Carioca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laerte Nóbrega in the 14th minute of play. After 15 minutes, Hamílton Couto made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Oudri Kanda's Moisés Carioca tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 18 minutes, Laerte Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Giru EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laerte Nóbrega was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giru EC's Hugo Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Gerber in the 26th minute of play. After having played for 27 minutes, Kléber Tande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Giru EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kléber Tande was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Giru EC booed when Oudri Kanda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Oudri Kanda getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Flavinho Leão hit a great ball. Moisés Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laerte Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laerte Nóbrega in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moisés Carioca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute, Murillo dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Moisés Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 42 played minutes Giru EC got a freekick which was hit by Washington Gomes. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hamílton Couto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexandre Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Carioca having to interfere. Alexandre Varelas short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Moisés Carioca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 58th minute João Paulo Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Varela who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Moisés Carioca when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Alexandre Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 62ndth minute of the game Hamílton Couto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oudri Kanda's Moisés Carioca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hamílton Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Carioca having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Fábio Luz during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Oudri Kanda getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Luiz Fábio Luz hit a great ball. Tomé Pombal's late challenge caught a Giru EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomé Pombal helped the player get up and apologised. Hugo Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Paulo Nunes in the 75th minute of the match. Oudri Kanda's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Hamílton Couto scored to the left of an out of position Moisés Carioca, making the score, 0-2. Laerte Nóbregas short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Moisés Carioca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Fonseca in the 83rd minute of play forced Oudri Kanda's goalkeeper Moisés Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laerte Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Giru EC's Laerte Nóbrega in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Hugo Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomé Pombal in the 94th minute of the match. Giru EC's Hugo Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Nunes in the 95th minute of play. Giru EC played a much better game than Oudri Kanda and deserved their victory. The Oudri Kanda players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
