The supporters of Menchu FC booed when Engenheiros da Vila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Engenheiros da Vila's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Baldovino came free, but Ademir Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osvaldinho Arruda's shot from long distance in the 31st minute was not bad at all, but Menchu FC's Angel Comizzo knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Engenheiros da Vila's Osvaldinho Arruda was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 40th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ademir Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Baldovino in the 44th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's goalkeeper Angel Comizzo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldinho Arruda. The nice shot from Osvaldinho Arruda in the 47thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Angel Comizzo had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Edgard Baldovino made the kick off in the second half. When Engenheiros da Vila's Carlos Sá in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Engenheiros da Vila's Ademir Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Engenheiros da Vila from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Engenheiros da Vila's Ademir Amorim got control of the ball when Filiberto Etxeberri tried to sneak it across the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Filiberto Etxeberri notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Engenheiros da Vila's Ademir Amorim. Ademir Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Menchu FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
