Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Roneixon Siqueira got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute Xanthos Fikias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Roneixon Siqueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Espigão Steamrollers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Empire of Soccer's Wit Beton got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 16 minutes Empire of Soccer's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kara Bhattacharya who took care of the corner kick. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Espigão Steamrollers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jim Ahlroht was slow to take the kick. During this time Empire of Soccer's players had a chance to rest. 김 용 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gonçalo de Medeiros having to make a save. Espigão Steamrollers's Kara Bhattacharya managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by 김 용 in the 28 minute of the game. Thorstein Heinsmann got a throw-in 30 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Roneixon Siqueira. If Roneixon Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Harriet in the 34th minute of play forced Espigão Steamrollers's goalkeeper Gonçalo de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Nestor Guillelmus successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ladislao Harriet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gonçalo de Medeiros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Empire of Soccer's Edvaldo Branco got a free kick in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
Roneixon Siqueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Guillelmus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute of the match Espigão Steamrollers got a corner. Empire of Soccer's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kara Bhattacharya ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ladislao Harriet's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gonçalo de Medeiros firmly grabbed it by the left post. Kara Bhattacharya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Nestor Guillelmus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Empire of Soccer got a freekick which was hit by Edvaldo Branco. Roneixon Siqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Guillelmus having to interfere. Nestor Guillelmus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kara Bhattacharya in the 68th minute of play. Nestor Guillelmus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roneixon Siqueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 73rd match minute, Empire of Soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wit Beton to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Empire of Soccer getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Wit Beton hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the game, Teukros Diplarakos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Empire of Soccer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espigão Steamrollers the free kick. After 82 played minutes Espigão Steamrollers got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Meira. Nestor Guillelmus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladislao Harriet got free with Gonçalo de Medeiros in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Xanthos Fikias took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Gonçalo de Medeiros to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladislao Harriet got free with Gonçalo de Medeiros in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gonçalo de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladislao Harriet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
For all the effort they put into the match, the Empire of Soccer players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Espigão Steamrollers.
