An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter Moura in the 10th minute of play forced Olimpia HSB's goalkeeper Tolek Kiszkiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tolek Kiszkiel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Barroso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tolek Kiszkiel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Tolek Kiszkiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Vale in the 19th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Portucale H5's goalkeeper António Pimenta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Morientes. In the 25th minute of the match, Artur Walczak tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but António Pimenta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 26th match minute, Portucale H5 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamilton Espírito Santo to maneuver through the defense. After 27 played minutes Olimpia HSB got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Czeszejko. Portucale H5's António Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Czeszejko in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of Olimpia HSB booed when Portucale H5 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Raitin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Portucale H5's goalkeeper António Pimenta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabian Czeszejko. A collision led to Portucale H5 getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Gualter Moura hit a great ball. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portucale H5's goalkeeper António Pimenta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aníbal Barroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Tolek Kiszkiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute Fabian Czeszejko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but António Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabian Czeszejko was the one to do the kick off. Portucale H5's António Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Czeszejko in the 52nd minute of play. António Pimenta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Morientes in the 55th minute of the match. Micael Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Gualter Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Tolek Kiszkiel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Albuquerque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Portucale H5 defense, Fabian Czeszejko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of António Pimenta. The Portucale H5 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that António Pimenta should have stopped the shot. Olimpia HSB's Tomáš Petrásek was substituted for Sixto Yanguas. Olimpia HSB's Jacek Pietrowiak was substituted for Fabian Czeszejko. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Barroso in the 85th minute of play forced Olimpia HSB's goalkeeper Tolek Kiszkiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Wilfredo Vellito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the game, Jacek Pietrowiak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. António Pimenta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Portucale H5's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
