Gabriel Silban made in the 11th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Emiliano Velasco immediately put the ball in play. Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Despidida AFC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Hauk Hareide took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Fernando Selatse to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Despidida AFC's zone, Hauk Hareide stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Selatse came out of the goal and Hauk Hareide tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustaw Ludzia kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. The Despidida AFC fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Despidida AFC's Emiliano Velasco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Despidida AFC booed when Carabata Groove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frasco Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristobal Goito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinu Ivănescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carabata Groove's goalkeeper Cristobal Goito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Carabata Groove's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Velasco came free, but Cristobal Goito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carabata Groove's Cristobal Goito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Velasco in the 44th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dinu Ivănescu in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristobal Goito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th minute, Iisakki Hilden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Despidida AFC's Kajetan Gdowik was substituted for Pastor Tino. Despidida AFC's Alvaro Raymond was substituted for Emiliano Velasco. In the 60th minute Alvaro Raymond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Goito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Carabata Groove fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Elazar in the 89th minute of play. Zachary Bielenda made in the 91st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Despidida AFC's Kajetan Gdowik. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauro Elazar in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Selatse prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Despidida AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
