After having played for 3 minutes, Harry Sjö managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kingpins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harry Sjö was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aris Mitrou's late challenge caught a Kingpins's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aris Mitrou helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Büyükada Commandos! Tony Montana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harry Sjö could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Fernado Muslera made a huge save. In the 19th minute, Ahmet İlhan Sedat made a precise shot to the right of Brendan Leblanc. Kingpins's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Roger Sandström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernado Muslera having to interfere. In the 25th minute Tony Montana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendan Leblanc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute Kingpins were awarded a corner. Armin Trabucco went to the cornerflag to take it. Kingpins's Brendan Leblanc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Montana in the 29th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ahmet İlhan Sedat's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brendan Leblanc was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Brendan Leblanc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tony Montana's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After a rather tough play, Kingpins's Adrian Falck got a free kick in the 41st minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Tony Montana made the kick off in the second half. Roger Västerstrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Fernado Muslera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernado Muslera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Sjö, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernado Muslera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Sandström in the 56th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl Trulsson during the 59th minute. Büyükada Commandos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Armin Trabucco ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Kingpins booed when Büyükada Commandos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luís Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mehmet Halis Ergün in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brendan Leblanc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Sandström in the 78th minute of play forced Büyükada Commandos's goalkeeper Fernado Muslera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute Henning Strömqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernado Muslera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brendan Leblanc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Halis Ergün in the 88th minute of play. Brendan Leblanc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luís Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the game, Büyükada Commandos's Mehmet Halis Ergün nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brendan Leblanc made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. With an all-out effort, Büyükada Commandos's Brendan Leblanc threw himself towards the right post 97 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mehmet Halis Ergün, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Büyükada Commandos eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
