Kai Havertz scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnold Szuper, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arnold Szuper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garth Stockton in the 17th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when William Rigg came free, but Arnold Szuper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnold Szuper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Rigg, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hungary's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kristian Markham was slow to take the kick. During this time England's players had a chance to rest. England's Kristian Markham was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnold Szuper in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Zsolt Székely hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kai Havertz in the 34th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Arnold Szuper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnold Szuper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kai Havertz in the 34th minute of play. Arnold Szuper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Rigg in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute of the match England got a corner. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kristian Markham ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to England's Garth Stockton getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. If Kai Havertz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hungary's Arnold Szuper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kai Havertz in the 41st minute of play. After 43 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Denis Barber. Frank Frankfurter made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Zsolt Székely sent off a good shot on target. Kai Havertz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnold Szuper read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Arnold Szuper made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when William Rigg sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute, Hungary's Ákos Auer seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ákos Auer the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hungary protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ákos Auer had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Hungary's Barnabás Takács was substituted for Lajos Szatmári. William Rigg in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arnold Szuper, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Hungary's Richárd Nyilasi was substituted for Csongor Tálas. The throw-in from Russ Howden in the 70th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Hungary's Áron Bódog. Frank Frankfurter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Áron Bódog in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th minute Áron Bódog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Frankfurter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnold Szuper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kai Havertz, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. William Rigg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Áron Bódog in the 79th minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Frank Frankfurter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Frankfurter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Áron Bódog, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute, Shaun Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnold Szuper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nial Peyton in the 91st minute of the match. After 91 minutes of play, England's Nial Peyton made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnold Szuper was left in no man's land by his defense there! England's Frank Frankfurter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Áron Bódog in the 95th minute of play. The Hungary supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching England's performance. The match ended with a win for England.
