The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Przemyslaw Pankowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofil Gdowski in the 7th minute of play forced Sporting SCP's goalkeeper István Mester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th match minute, Łódzki klub sportowy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyprian Lisewski to maneuver through the defense. Endre Földesi was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 11th minute. Sporting SCP's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 14 minutes into the game, Cyprian Lisewski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Łódzki klub sportowy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting SCP the free kick. Dobromir Nakonieczny had in the 15thth minute some difficulties stopping György Molnár's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Renátó Bogdán kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Csaba Sipos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 22 minutes, Csaba Sipos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting SCP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Csaba Sipos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Sporting SCP's Alfréd Gellért got a free kick in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Sporting SCP's goal looked a bit too open when Przemyslaw Pankowski came free, but István Mester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dobromir Nakonieczny made an important save on a dangerous shot by Csaba Sipos in the 42nd minute. The supporters of Łódzki klub sportowy booed when Sporting SCP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renátó Bogdán didn't get a good kick on the ball. Przemyslaw Pankowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Szczepan Kalemba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Przemyslaw Pankowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but István Mester read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. After 53 played minutes Szczepan Kalemba rounded Sporting SCP's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-1. Leon Poteralski charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leon Poteralski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dobromir Nakonieczny stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Endre Földesi's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Endre Földesi struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Dobromir Nakonieczny didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting SCP. 69 minutes into the match, Endre Földesi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dobromir Nakonieczny. Łódzki klub sportowy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Endre Földesi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. A collision led to Sporting SCP getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Renátó Bogdán hit a great ball. Przemyslaw Pankowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without István Mester having to interfere. After having played for 80 minutes, Przemyslaw Pankowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Łódzki klub sportowy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Przemyslaw Pankowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Szczepan Kalemba kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving István Mester. That made the score 1-2 in the 84 minute of play. When Csaba Sipos came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Sporting SCP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Csaba Sipos couldn't finish the play. Sporting SCP's István Mester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Szczepan Kalemba in the 95th minute of play. The Łódzki klub sportowy players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
