In the 8th minute, Rogério Tenória got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Firmino hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the game, Renátó Bogdán was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting SCP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ashton Under Hill the free kick. Renátó Bogdán kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Csaba Sipos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Miguel De Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ákos Koncz's late challenge caught a Ashton Under Hill's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ákos Koncz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ashton Under Hill booed when Sporting SCP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ákos Koncz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting SCP's zone, Rogério Tenória stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. István Mester came out of the goal and Rogério Tenória tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute, Renátó Bogdán hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. István Mester showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lopo Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Lopo Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. István Mester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rogério Tenória had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ashton Under Hill's Eduardo Guedes got a free kick in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lopo Borges to strike the kick off in the second half. Rogério Tenória fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without István Mester having to interfere. The supporters of Ashton Under Hill booed when Sporting SCP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Károly Szűcs didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Rogério De Matos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sporting SCP's István Mester didn't even have to move. In the 63rd minute, Sporting SCP's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rogério Tenória fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. During the 68th minute of the match Ákos Koncz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ákos Koncz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 69th match minute, Sporting SCP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ákos Koncz to maneuver through the defense. Miguel De Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from József Boda, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Ottó Vékony hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Sporting SCP's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Lopo Borges 82 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. When Rogério Tenória came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Ashton Under Hill fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogério Tenória couldn't finish the play. If József Boda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
