Timo-Fabian Arbogast didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dobromir Nakonieczny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Bodemer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofil Gdowski in the 37th minute of play forced SK Austria Klagenfurt's goalkeeper Timo Heinsohn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, SK Austria Klagenfurt's Timo Heinsohn got control of the ball when Przemyslaw Pankowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Przemyslaw Pankowski got free with Timo Heinsohn in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dobromir Nakonieczny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxi Peternell, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After 74 minutes, Timo-Fabian Arbogast made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Łódzki klub sportowy's Dobromir Nakonieczny tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Przemyslaw Pankowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Timo Heinsohn made a huge save. In the 89th minute of the match, Przemyslaw Pankowski got a very nice opportunity to score, but Timo Heinsohn was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Maxi Peternell put it in 3-4 from a short distance just to the right of Dobromir Nakonieczny.
