The referee ignored Sporting SCP's protests and gave György Molnár a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Stryki booed when Sporting SCP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. György Molnár didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Robert Pryputnicki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stryki's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Pryputnicki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. István Mester breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Robert Pryputnicki came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Stryki fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Pryputnicki couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Pryputnicki got free with István Mester in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
