Nueva Chicago's Santiago Cañizares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Idacio in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Carmelo Idacio notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Nueva Chicago's Santiago Cañizares. Santiago Cañizares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 14th match minute, WonderKids tEam was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Berenguer to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Nueva Chicago defense, Vilgot Västlund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santiago Cañizares. The Nueva Chicago fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santiago Cañizares should have stopped the shot. Nueva Chicago's Santiago Cañizares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionuț Trică in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Idacio in the 21st minute of play forced Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilgot Västlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santiago Cañizares having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Carmelo Idacio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Santiago Cañizares. Nueva Chicago's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carmelo Idacio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 37th minute Ionuț Trică shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Cañizares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Idacio in the 40th minute of play forced Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute of the match Nueva Chicago got a corner. WonderKids tEam's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joga Leve ran over to the corner to take the kick. Santiago Cañizares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmelo Idacio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carmelo Idacio to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Andrea Scarpa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santiago Cañizares came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by WonderKids tEam's Carmelo Idacio. But to his dismay, Carmelo Idacio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Carmelo Idacio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Santiago Cañizares came out and tried to block the shot, but Carmelo Idacio slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 58th minute. Dumitru Cinteză took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrei Agulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute of the match, Vilgot Västlund tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Santiago Cañizares saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 71st minute, Carmelo Idacio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the match, Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carmelo Idacio.
