Octavian Jähnigen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Brogren, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. With a little luck, Predador Brasiliense MZBR's Octavian Jähnigen got control of the ball when Candido Urbes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mellbystrand IK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Konrad Nordin in the 24th minute. A nice corner shot did that Konrad Nordin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Octavian Jähnigen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mellbystrand IK's Daniel Alrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cris Gol in the 25th minute of play. Daniel Alrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cris Gol in the 31st minute of the match. When Kurt Brogren came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Mellbystrand IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kurt Brogren couldn't finish the play. The long shot by Konrad Nordin in the 36th minute really tested Octavian Jähnigen's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kurt Brogren in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavian Jähnigen saved Predador Brasiliense MZBR from getting behind. In the last second Octavian Jähnigen throw himself and got hold of the ball when Kurt Brogren in the 38thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Daniel Alrot came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Predador Brasiliense MZBR's Jânio Donatello. But to his dismay, Jânio Donatello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 44th minute Lam Baril shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Alrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Octavian Jähnigen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Brogren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. António Sobral did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Daniel Alrot 72 minutes into the match. Mellbystrand IK made a substitution. Björn Ekström replaced Candido Urbes. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandrinho Almeida during the 78th minute.
