The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 12 minutes, Ondrej Janočko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC DAC 1904 and the San Juan FBC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC DAC 1904's Ondrej Janočko got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC DAC 1904's goalkeeper Richard Hlavaj, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. San Juan FBC were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after FC DAC 1904's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Erez Gordo took the corner. The corner led San Juan FBC's Beat Sequeiros to fire away a dangerous shot which Richard Hlavaj despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miroslav Babčan in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stoyan Teodosiev saved San Juan FBC from getting behind. Richard Hlavaj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Pedrero, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 37th minute, Sonny Wahlnäs left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Juan FBC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Richard Hlavaj stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcos Pedrero's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. With his leg Stoyan Teodosiev managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when FC DAC 1904's Róbert Vácval fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Babčan in the 43rd minute of play forced San Juan FBC's goalkeeper Stoyan Teodosiev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to San Juan FBC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Galsino Briñas hit a great ball. In the 48th minute Miroslav Babčan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stoyan Teodosiev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miroslav Babčan made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, FC DAC 1904's Miroslav Babčan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stoyan Teodosiev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 57 minutes, Sonny Wahlnäs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Juan FBC and the FC DAC 1904 players grew even worse after the yellow card. San Juan FBC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Róbert Vácval hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. San Juan FBC's Stoyan Teodosiev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miroslav Babčan in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Markel Romay notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of FC DAC 1904's Richard Hlavaj. Richard Hlavaj was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
