After having played for 35 minutes, Karol Serwacki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Janusze's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karol Serwacki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the game, Mellbystrand IK's Kurt Brogren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bocho Bumbalov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Daniel Alrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Brataniec, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Mellbystrand IK's Vinícius I was substituted for Nils-Åke Magnusson. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tostão Mota to make the kick off. In the 60th minute, Bogumil Brataniec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kurt Brogren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Bocho Bumbalov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Alrot made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Tostão Mota sent off a good shot on target. Mellbystrand IK made a substitution. Björn Ekström replaced Candido Urbes. Karol Serwacki kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Mellbystrand IK's Kurt Brogren got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 66 played minutes Mellbystrand IK got a freekick which was hit by Niclas Vesterberg. Janusze made a substitution. Sylwester Ostrowski replaced Tostão Mota. After a rather tough play, Mellbystrand IK's Niclas Vesterberg got a free kick in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Björn Ekström in the 68th minute of play forced Janusze's goalkeeper Bocho Bumbalov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Kurt Brogren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bocho Bumbalov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Björn Ekström's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. When Mellbystrand IK's Björn Ekström in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Janusze's goalie prevented a goal. After 72 played minutes Janusze got a freekick which was hit by Wieslaw Kempski. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the match, Janusze's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Brogren came free, but Bocho Bumbalov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mellbystrand IK's Daniel Alrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Serwacki in the 78th minute of play. Karol Serwacki succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 78th playminute. Janusze's Wincenty Sokolski was substituted for Wieslaw Kempski. Janusze's Julian Sitko was substituted for Sizwe Phakathi. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Janusze's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Konrad Nordin was slow to take the kick. During this time Mellbystrand IK's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Mellbystrand IK's Björn Ekström getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 92 minutes into the game, Mellbystrand IK's Kurt Brogren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bocho Bumbalov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. György Hubina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Alrot having to interfere. Mellbystrand IK's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
