The supporters of SK Fenerbahce Wien booed when Toronto Marlies FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tracy Narcisse didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Vasyl Gladiy came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the SK Fenerbahce Wien fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vasyl Gladiy couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, SK Fenerbahce Wien's Ernesto Illescas got a free kick in the 21st minute. After 25 minutes, Edvin Gernberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SK Fenerbahce Wien and the Toronto Marlies FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chris Draxl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigel Bucur, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 35thth minute of the game Gigel Bucur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SK Fenerbahce Wien's Chris Draxl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 36th minute, Nereo Rik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute Gigel Bucur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chris Draxl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SK Fenerbahce Wien's zone, Gigel Bucur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chris Draxl came out of the goal and Gigel Bucur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brecht Govaerts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anfilogino Amicone having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 53rd match minute, SK Fenerbahce Wien was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nereo Rik to maneuver through the defense. Gigel Bucur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chris Draxl having to make a save. Chris Draxl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigel Bucur, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. SK Fenerbahce Wien's Ixaka Boher was substituted for Nereo Rik. In the 70th minute Toronto Marlies FC were awarded a corner. Josiah Ferland went to the cornerflag to take it. Josiah Ferland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chris Draxl having to interfere. Lu Jun Yin made in the 89th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ixaka Boher. 93 minutes into the match, SK Fenerbahce Wien's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Bucur came free, but Chris Draxl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toronto Marlies FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
