Ventura Barrios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldão Jaafari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes into the match, FRANK's goal looked a bit too open when Sune Bergdal came free, but Ventura Barrios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FRANK's Ventura Barrios proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save FRANK from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute, Edinho Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Runar Selle struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Michel Neuer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FRANK. Jørgen Stavem was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 21 minutes into the match. A collision led to FRANK getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Jørgen Stavem hit a great ball. Ventura Barrios made an important save on a dangerous shot by He Xiao Ao in the 25th minute. Michel Neuer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Ignado in the 28th minute of the match. With a little luck, FRANK's Ventura Barrios got control of the ball when Sune Bergdal tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Kent Skoge managed to get in a good position for a shot. FRANK's supporters rose to their feet, but Kent Skoge was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michel Neuer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ventura Barrios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sune Bergdal in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by FRANK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. David Fernandez was slow to take the kick. During this time Borussia Dortmund MZB's players had a chance to rest. Liu Zhi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Ventura Barrios made a huge save. Michel Neuer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bingen Brorsson in the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, Borussia Dortmund MZB's Liu Zhi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ventura Barrios made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Trond Valla's late challenge caught a Borussia Dortmund MZB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trond Valla helped the player get up and apologised. Trond Valla hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Esteban Ignado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sune Bergdal in the 51st minute of play forced FRANK's goalkeeper Ventura Barrios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The FRANK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ventura Barrios should have stopped the shot. But to his dismay, Slade Wilson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Slade Wilson in the 92nd minute of play forced FRANK's goalkeeper Ventura Barrios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute He Xiao Ao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ventura Barrios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind FRANK's goalkeeper Ventura Barrios, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Borussia Dortmund MZB had played much better football throughout.
