Patrick Armstrong was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Cavaliers FC's Cornelio Villegas got control of the ball when Thorbjörn Olerius tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teofilo Mikeldi was slow to take the kick. During this time Cavaliers FC's players had a chance to rest. 28 minutes into the game, Cavaliers FC's Sebastián Villa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrick Armstrong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Linkhorst in the 33rd minute of play forced Cavaliers FC's goalkeeper Cornelio Villegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrian Rosario didn't quite understand what happened when in the 85 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Patrick Armstrong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastián Villa, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 92nd minute, Cavaliers FC's Sebastián Villa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-7. In the 98th minute, Cecilio Feliz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Cavaliers FC's zone, Adrian Våleman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornelio Villegas came out of the goal and Adrian Våleman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Cavaliers FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cavaliers FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
