The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Codruț Domuță in the 22nd minute of play. After 24 minutes of play, Brujas KV's Torrey Molloy made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gheorghe Baldovin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ilkay Gündoğan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gheorghe Baldovin having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Portalupi in the 30th minute of play forced FC Buzău's goalkeeper Gheorghe Baldovin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renato Portalupi scored 0-3 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gheorghe Baldovin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Brujas KV's Petruț Dicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Balaban in the 38th minute of play. Renato Portalupi hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Vintilă Stoicea in the 76th minute of play forced Brujas KV's goalkeeper Petruț Dicu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brujas KV's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Codruț Domuță in the 81st minute. After some careless play in the Brujas KV defense, Traian Balaban kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Petruț Dicu. The Brujas KV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Petruț Dicu should have stopped the shot. After 94 played minutes Conrado Romero rounded FC Buzău's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. The FC Buzău supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Brujas KV's performance. The match ended with a win for Brujas KV.
