FC Alinborger Galați's supporters rose to their feet, but Angel Veronica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victoriano Bernaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Darryl Buckner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, FC Alinborger Galați's goal looked a bit too open when Darryl Buckner came free, but Tadeu Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wei Li scored 2-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tadeu Moraes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, FC Alinborger Galați's Tadeu Moraes got control of the ball when Leopoldo Rosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Darryl Buckner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeu Moraes having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastian Bîlbă to make the kick off. The supporters of FC Alinborger Galați booed when Dep Colonia Avellaneda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santo Libertad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angel Veronica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Victoriano Bernaldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tadeu Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Rosa in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Dep Colonia Avellaneda had played much better football throughout.
