The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game was made by Aquiles Buenafuente with Severiano Primo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Pastor Frantzes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubim Peralta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pastor Frantzes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubim Peralta in the 7th minute of play. Aquiles Buenafuente made in the 9th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Stuart Mayo. Isaias Sazon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reno Idiaquez having to make a save. Pastor Frantzes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubim Peralta, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubim Peralta in the 23rd minute of play forced Sajones F.C.'s goalkeeper Pastor Frantzes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mandrake fc's Rubim Peralta got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the game, Rubim Peralta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pastor Frantzes. Rubim Peralta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Sajones F.C.'s Isaias Sazon got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Rubim Peralta made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Tomás Abancens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mandrake fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Abancens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pastor Frantzes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 58 minutes into the game, Hugo Raitin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sajones F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mandrake fc the free kick. In the 84thth minute of the game Hugo Raitin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mandrake fc's Reno Idiaquez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Barto Radaban struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Pastor Frantzes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mandrake fc. In the 89th minute Hugo Raitin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reno Idiaquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gau Abajas during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sajones F.C. booed when Mandrake fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gau Abajas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute of the match, Hugo Raitin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Reno Idiaquez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
