Match Report

SK Fenerbahce Wien
Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0)
The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Brecht Govaerts got the match started through his kick off. If Tim-Florian Ramusch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gigel Elenescu took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chris Draxl. Chris Draxl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience was convinced that Brecht Govaerts's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rune Jarstein was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hertha 1969's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vasyl Gladiy was slow to take the kick. During this time SK Fenerbahce Wien's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to SK Fenerbahce Wien's Tim-Florian Ramusch getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 16th minute Brecht Govaerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Kristian Oswald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chris Draxl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chris Draxl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Rune Jarstein was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Brecht Govaerts capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Brecht Govaerts really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Oswald in the 26th minute of play forced SK Fenerbahce Wien's goalkeeper Chris Draxl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Paulo da Silva scored 1-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chris Draxl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein got control of the ball when Brecht Govaerts tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chris Draxl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigel Elenescu in the 33rd minute of the match. A hard shot 35 in the game by Brecht Govaerts from a close distance when the talented Rune Jarstein managed to make a qualified save. Hertha 1969's players were relieved. Zé Paulo da Silva struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Chris Draxl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hertha 1969. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristian Oswald in the 41st minute of play forced SK Fenerbahce Wien's goalkeeper Chris Draxl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Gigel Elenescu notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of SK Fenerbahce Wien's Chris Draxl. Chris Draxl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 45th minute Brecht Govaerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilhelm Nienhaus to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, SK Fenerbahce Wien's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Elenescu came free, but Chris Draxl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brecht Govaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. SK Fenerbahce Wien's Ixaka Boher was substituted for Tim-Florian Ramusch. Brecht Govaerts kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, SK Fenerbahce Wien's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Elenescu came free, but Chris Draxl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute of the match, Wilhelm Nienhaus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Chris Draxl saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 68 minutes into the match, SK Fenerbahce Wien's goalkeeper Chris Draxl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kristian Oswald. After some careless play in the Hertha 1969 defense, Brecht Govaerts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rune Jarstein. The Hertha 1969 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rune Jarstein should have stopped the shot. Chris Draxl was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Gigel Elenescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gigel Elenescu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. 76 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when Brecht Govaerts came free, but Rune Jarstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brecht Govaerts in the 79th minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rune Jarstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brecht Govaerts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, Ixaka Boher had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rune Jarstein. Hertha 1969's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ixaka Boher was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5. Chris Draxl made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Kristian Oswald sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Ixaka Boher managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Fenerbahce Wien's supporters rose to their feet, but Ixaka Boher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Jarstein breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hertha 1969's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
