Anton Björnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rupert Heidingsfelder in the 9th minute of play. Inter de Chillán's Vatan Enfal got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vatan Enfal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rune Jarstein read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. After 19 played minutes Rupert Heidingsfelder rounded Inter de Chillán's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Anton Björnberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 29th minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Anton Björnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Wilhelm Nienhaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Björnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilhelm Nienhaus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Anton Björnberg made a huge save. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vatan Enfal in the 35th minute of play. Rupert Heidingsfelder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rune Jarstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vatan Enfal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inter de Chillán were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Hertha 1969's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tobías Izamit took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Florencio Jax got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rune Jarstein quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Inter de Chillán's Tobías Izamit got a free kick in the 41st minute. Rune Jarstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vatan Enfal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vatan Enfal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute Vatan Enfal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vatan Enfal to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Vatan Enfal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 52nd minute Rupert Heidingsfelder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Björnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes in the game Stefan Mayer did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Rupert Heidingsfelder. Rune Jarstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vatan Enfal in the 55th minute of play. Rune Jarstein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vatan Enfal in the 57th minute of the match. A collision led to Inter de Chillán getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Fernán Chiquillo hit a great ball. Anton Björnberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72ndth minute of the game Rickard Erserman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rickard Erserman let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 72nd minute shot 1-3 at rihgt post. Gigel Elenescu kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Rickard Erserman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rune Jarstein having to make a save. Rune Jarstein showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Erserman in the 81st minute of the match. Fernán Chiquillo hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rupert Heidingsfelder in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anton Björnberg saved Inter de Chillán from getting behind. Ziemowit Tscherner's late challenge caught a Inter de Chillán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ziemowit Tscherner helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hertha 1969 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 90 minutes, Inter de Chillán's Fernán Chiquillo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rune Jarstein. Rickard Erserman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rune Jarstein read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Inter de Chillán had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
