The supporters of Hertha 1969 booed when KFC Uerdingen 05 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sylwester Dziuma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rupert Heidingsfelder ran back to his position shaking his head. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Hertha 1969 from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hartwig Engelhardt in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rune Jarstein prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rupert Heidingsfelder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Brandon Mang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hertha 1969 fans cheered their team off the field, for while KFC Uerdingen 05 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
