In the 24th minute of the match, Oscar Furlan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Andrea Bolognesi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jazz's Andrea Bolognesi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carolo Goito in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Jazz's goalkeeper Andrea Bolognesi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carolo Goito. In the 32nd minute, Marco Jazz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olgierd Jazwiec got free with Andrea Bolognesi in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rocky Balboa F.C.'s Marco Veto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Jazz in the 40th minute of play. Carolo Goito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Andrea Bolognesi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Jazz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Rocky Balboa F.C. getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Marco Vigil hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marco Jazz made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Marco Jazz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jazz's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Jazz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Veto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andrea Bolognesi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Furlan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andrea Bolognesi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olgierd Jazwiec in the 59th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Marco Jazz took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Marco Veto to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Jazz in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Veto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Jazz fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Jazz's Marco Jazz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Andrea Bolognesi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dionisio Rosalio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute Rocky Balboa F.C. were awarded a corner. Olgierd Jazwiec went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Rocky Balboa F.C.'s corner Olgierd Jazwiec fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Andrea Bolognesi quite easily take care of the ball. Andrea Bolognesi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olgierd Jazwiec in the 90th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Olgierd Jazwiec cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Andrea Bolognesi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice moves Nae Preda could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Marco Veto however easily saved by the left post.
The Jazz supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jazz would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
