The audience was convinced that Potap Kostin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melquiades Sotil was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Arseniy Maltsev made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Hernan Orland sent off a good shot on target. Novorossiysk FC's Arseniy Maltsev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Urtsua in the 22nd minute of play. If Potap Kostin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denis Pierres during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Amigos de la Chala FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Novorossiysk FC:s goal. Amigos de la Chala FC:s Melquiades Sotil showed great skill when he stopped Potap Kostin:s penalty. Hernan Orland's late challenge caught a Novorossiysk FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hernan Orland helped the player get up and apologised. Hernan Orland hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Danila Hlebnikov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Novorossiysk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Quinton came free, but Arseniy Maltsev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Alonzo Pancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arseniy Maltsev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Novorossiysk FC fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Novorossiysk FC's Potap Kostin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Arseniy Maltsev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Urtsua, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. With a little luck, Novorossiysk FC's Arseniy Maltsev got control of the ball when Hernan Orland tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristian Urtsua was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Vitaliy Gorbachev took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Melquiades Sotil to make any attempt to save it. After 54 minutes, Ostap Artemev made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Amigos de la Chala FC's Melquiades Sotil tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute, Hernan Orland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arseniy Maltsev was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Arseniy Maltsev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Balendin in the 60th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Novorossiysk FC booed when Amigos de la Chala FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Balendin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, Santiago Quinton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Amigos de la Chala FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-4. In the 85th minute, Alonzo Pancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the match, Ostap Artemev dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Melquiades Sotil, 4-5. After a defensive mix-up in Amigos de la Chala FC's zone, Ostap Artemev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Sotil came out of the goal and Ostap Artemev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ostap Artemev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Sotil having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Novorossiysk FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
