Spectators: 446 (Terracing: 342, Seating: 104, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tiburcio Lain started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Montagnole FC's Martial Gobert ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bogdan Ghimpu. Bogdan Ghimpu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 8th minute Martial Gobert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Ghimpu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, London Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Martial Gobert came free, but Bogdan Ghimpu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. London Lions's Rupert Rundle got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Batiste Lavandier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Bogdan Ghimpu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Howard Bowen made in the 24th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Rupert Rundle immediately put the ball in play. Danny Arpin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Borys Jaworski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danny Arpin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Borys Jaworski, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Bogdan Ghimpu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olivier Serot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 minutes London Lions's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gabin Génot who took care of the corner kick. Danny Arpin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiburcio Lain in the 32nd minute of the match. Tiburcio Lain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 39 played minutes Montagnole FC got a freekick which was hit by Jason Lespinasse. In the 40th minute of the match Laurence Perryman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danny Arpin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Martial Gobert was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martial Gobert in the 53rd minute of play forced London Lions's goalkeeper Bogdan Ghimpu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 54 minutes, Olivier Serot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montagnole FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olivier Serot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 58 played minutes London Lions got a freekick which was hit by Dénes Fodor. Gabin Génot struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Bogdan Ghimpu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montagnole FC. Bogdan Ghimpu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Batiste Lavandier in the 60th minute of play. Danny Arpin made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Leandro Guerra sent off a good shot on target. If Olivier Serot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, London Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Olivier Serot came free, but Bogdan Ghimpu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danny Arpin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiburcio Lain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Montagnole FC's goalkeeper Danny Arpin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leandro Guerra. Bogdan Ghimpu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olivier Serot in the 81st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Tiburcio Lain kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Danny Arpin. That made the score 1-1 in the 83 minute of play. The supporters of London Lions booed when Montagnole FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Lespinasse didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Montagnole FC's Danny Arpin got control of the ball when Leandro Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Batiste Lavandier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Bogdan Ghimpu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danny Arpin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiburcio Lain's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.

Batiste Lavandier might have been able to make a better finish in the 103rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bogdan Ghimpu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Batiste Lavandier ran back to his position shaking his head. When Gabin Génot came up free with the goalie in the 113th minute, the Montagnole FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabin Génot couldn't finish the play. Martial Gobert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bogdan Ghimpu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 115th minute of play. With the score at 1-1, the referee blew for the end of the half. The players got a few minutes to recover before they had to start the second half of extra-time.

When it was time for second half in the overtime, the players were a bit slow, but they soon became more alert when it was time for Martial Gobert to make the kick off. Bogdan Ghimpu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martial Gobert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 125 played minutes London Lions got a freekick which was hit by Borys Jaworski. Olivier Serot might have been able to make a better finish in the 128th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bogdan Ghimpu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olivier Serot ran back to his position shaking his head. Batiste Lavandier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 132nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Ghimpu having to interfere. The game was still level after extra-time. The match had to be settled by penalties!

When the match had been going on for 138 minutes, Montagnole FC's Olivier Serot got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bogdan Ghimpu. When the match had been going on for 139 minutes, London Lions's Nathan Griffin got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Danny Arpin. When the match had been going on for 141 minutes, Montagnole FC's Batiste Lavandier got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bogdan Ghimpu. When the match had been going on for 142 minutes, London Lions's Gaz Chandler got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Danny Arpin. Bogdan Ghimpu had in the 144thth minute some difficulties stopping Martial Gobert's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Martial Gobert succeeded in the game's 144th minute to get real power on a long shot . London Lions's Bogdan Ghimpu hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 4-4! Bogdan Ghimpu had in the 147thth minute some difficulties stopping Bogdan Ghimpu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the London Lions players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Montagnole FC.
