After 2 played minutes NO MERCY got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Asad. After 4 minutes, Raúl Messias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NO MERCY and the Netherton players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Netherton booed when NO MERCY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Messias didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odir Zapata in the 14th minute of play forced Netherton's goalkeeper Adolfo Alas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Odir Zapata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Alas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 20 minutes, Luis Hernández managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NO MERCY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Hernández was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Odir Zapata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Alas having to interfere. Benjamín Barraza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Adolfo Alas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Netherton getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Abraham Meza hit a great ball. Wilber Liborio, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Benjamín Barraza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benjamín Barraza was the one to do the kick off. Adolfo Alas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamín Barraza in the 54th minute of play. Ovidio Mora took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Misael Gallegos. Misael Gallegos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0.
