Fidel Costas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sarbelio Monzon having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bodicote AFC's zone, Ricardo Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Ribeiro came out of the goal and Ricardo Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ricardo Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th match minute, Bodicote AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Alferez to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Esteban Rosales made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Edgar Ribeiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ovidio Posadas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rothwell United's Ricardo Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bodicote AFC's goalkeeper Edgar Ribeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ricardo Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Edgar Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bodicote AFC's Edgar Ribeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Bodicote AFC from getting a goal against them. Ricardo Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
