The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a left leg Angel Rosales saved Atletico Salvador from getting behind. 25 minutes into the game, Pedro Fornos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Edgar Ribeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro Fornos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Ribeiro having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Fidel Costas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bodicote AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Ovidio Posadas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. The tension between the Atletico Salvador and the Bodicote AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Atletico Salvador:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bodicote AFC:s goal. If Emiliano Alferez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
