Dennys Arango hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Rosales came free, but Christian Lovo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Rothwell United were awarded a corner. Ernesto Fornos went to the cornerflag to take it. Eliseo Anaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rothwell United's Sarbelio Monzon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efren Lara in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Efren Lara was the one to do the kick off. Dennys Arango charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dennys Arango the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 98th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Ernesto Fornos hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. The Arsenal supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rothwell United's performance. The match ended with a win for Rothwell United.
