Seating: 1978, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pablo Berrueta started the match with the kick off. Pablo Berrueta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jhalmar Escalante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, Pablo Berrueta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jhalmar Escalante. Pablo Berrueta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Richard Espindola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgar Moreno hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Pablo Berrueta managed to get in a good position for a shot. South Kilworth's supporters rose to their feet, but Pablo Berrueta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jhalmar Escalante breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. South Kilworth's Ivan Hurtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Ribeiro in the 20th minute of play. Jhalmar Escalante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Berrueta, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When Pablo Berrueta came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the South Kilworth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pablo Berrueta couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the match, South Kilworth's Nicolás Peña broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jaime Ochoa charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaime Ochoa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ivan Hurtado came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Hockley's Gilberto Meza. But to his dismay, Gilberto Meza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 40th minute of the match Luis Coreas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jhalmar Escalante showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Juan Cortez kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilberto Meza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. South Kilworth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richard Espindola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Camilo Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Hockley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camilo Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. Jhalmar Escalante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Berrueta in the 77th minute of the match. Richard Espindola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Hockley's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Berrueta came free, but Jhalmar Escalante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto Meza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. South Kilworth's Ivan Hurtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Meza in the 88th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richard Espindola in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jhalmar Escalante saved Hockley from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Camilo Ribeiro got free with Ivan Hurtado in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. South Kilworth's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
