In the 5th minute Jorge Leiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Géza Kocsis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Géza Kocsis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Asad in the 7th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, GALENA-NORTH's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Asad came free, but Géza Kocsis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcel Mantel kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute of the match, Patricio Asad tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Géza Kocsis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Baltazar Bentos kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Pedro Mondragon was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. C.D Luis Angel Firpo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Victorino Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Manuel Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcu Ciupe in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Orlando Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Moreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Mondragon came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Géza Kocsis could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in GALENA-NORTH's zone, Pedro Mondragon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Géza Kocsis came out of the goal and Pedro Mondragon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcu Ciupe in the 43rd minute of play forced C.D Luis Angel Firpo's goalkeeper Manuel Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Baltazar Bentos made the kick off in the second half. Géza Kocsis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Mondragon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Géza Kocsis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josue Espindola, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. With 56 minutes on the clock, Omar Ourente commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of C.D Luis Angel Firpo booed when GALENA-NORTH was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Ourente didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute of the match Ismael Hidalgo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Géza Kocsis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 60th minute Jorge Leiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Géza Kocsis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C.D Luis Angel Firpo's Manuel Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcu Ciupe in the 81st minute of play. When Wilber Navas fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GALENA-NORTH's protests and gave Wilber Navas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Wilber Navas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Géza Kocsis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Leiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Ismael Hidalgo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Géza Kocsis. GALENA-NORTH's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ismael Hidalgo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. C.D Luis Angel Firpo had played much better football throughout.
