Ivan Rivero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Carrillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Rivero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Félix Suarez in the 6th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Oswaldo Reyes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Rivero. Club Atlético Tejutepeque's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oswaldo Reyes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 13th minute, Edgardo Carrillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SantaAna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Cerna in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Rivero saved Club Atlético Tejutepeque from getting behind. Ivan Rivero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Cerna, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, Felipe Cerna made a precise shot to the right of Ivan Rivero. Club Atlético Tejutepeque's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Ivan Rivero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Carrillo in the 25th minute of play. Nicolás Orozco hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 29thth minute of the game Edgardo Carrillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Tejutepeque's Ivan Rivero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Manuel Meza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivan Rivero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo Reyes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Felipe Cerna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivan Rivero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Cerna in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute Edgardo Carrillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Rivero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Félix Suarez took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivan Rivero. Ivan Rivero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. After the first half SantaAna were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oswaldo Reyes made a kick off. Club Atlético Tejutepeque's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Félix Suarez scored to the left of an out of position Ivan Rivero, making the score, 0-6. Club Atlético Tejutepeque's Ivan Rivero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Tejutepeque from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Club Atlético Tejutepeque booed when SantaAna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Félix Suarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute of the match, Oswaldo Reyes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ivan Rivero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ivan Rivero was a little too slow when Felipe Cerna got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-7. 65 minutes into the game, Felipe Cerna recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ivan Rivero. Felipe Cerna showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. In the 67th minute, Angel Hurtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Rivero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Cerna in the 69th minute. Ivan Rivero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo Reyes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute of the match, Félix Suarez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ivan Rivero was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 77 played minutes Club Atlético Tejutepeque got a freekick which was hit by Edwin Cetino. Ivan Rivero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipe Cerna went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-10 was the resulting score. Ivan Rivero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswaldo Reyes, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Ivan Rivero came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by SantaAna's Felipe Cerna. But to his dismay, Felipe Cerna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-11. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Edgardo Carrillo took a quick shot and it went in 0-12 without a chance for Ivan Rivero to make any attempt to save it. SantaAna played a much better game than Club Atlético Tejutepeque and deserved their victory. The Club Atlético Tejutepeque players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
