The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Placido Austin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Enrique Coreas came out and tried to block the shot, but Placido Austin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC PUMA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! Wen Ran Fan had in the 9thth minute some difficulties stopping Oswaldo Noyola's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to Congresbury getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ladislao Del Cid hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maarten Janssen got free with Enrique Coreas in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benjamín Salamanca kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. FC PUMA's Wen Ran Fan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oswaldo Noyola in the 23rd minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Congresbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Guerra to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Enrique Ulloa from long distance, 24 minutes into the match, got Enrique Coreas's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 25 minutes into the game, Hector Sifon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Congresbury's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC PUMA the free kick. In the 25th match minute, Congresbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Sifon to maneuver through the defense. Wen Ran Fan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Noyola in the 30th minute of play. A collision led to Congresbury getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Daniel Fuentes hit a great ball. Hector Sifon was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 43 played minutes Congresbury got a freekick which was hit by Hector Sifon. In the 44th minute of the match Enrique Ulloa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enrique Coreas skillfully saved the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oswaldo Noyola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Placido Austin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Coreas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Congresbury's Ladislao Del Cid got a free kick in the 56th minute. Enrique Ulloa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Enrique Coreas. Congresbury's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Congresbury booed when FC PUMA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Reyes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Congresbury's Enrique Coreas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Giansanti in the 62nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Congresbury defense, Placido Austin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enrique Coreas. The Congresbury fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enrique Coreas should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, FC PUMA's Franklin Reyes got a free kick in the 68th minute. 74 minutes into the game, FC PUMA's Placido Austin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enrique Coreas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Enrique Coreas came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by FC PUMA's Placido Austin. But to his dismay, Placido Austin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Congresbury's Enrique Coreas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Austin in the 81st minute of play. After some careless play in the Congresbury defense, Placido Austin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enrique Coreas. The Congresbury fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enrique Coreas should have stopped the shot. Wen Ran Fan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oswaldo Noyola's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. FC PUMA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
