In the 15thth minute of the game André Giansanti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SantaAna's Salvador Menjivar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC PUMA's zone, Félix Suarez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wen Ran Fan came out of the goal and Félix Suarez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute Oswaldo Reyes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wen Ran Fan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, FC PUMA's Jaime Villanueva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Salvador Menjivar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. SantaAna's Salvador Menjivar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Giansanti in the 27th minute of play. Oswaldo Reyes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wen Ran Fan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Cerna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wen Ran Fan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswaldo Reyes, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Salvador Menjivar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Deunoro in the 36th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, SantaAna's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Deunoro came free, but Salvador Menjivar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wen Ran Fan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Félix Suarez in the 37th minute of play. In the 41st match minute, SantaAna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joselito Rey to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, André Giansanti made a precise shot to the right of Salvador Menjivar. SantaAna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Edgardo Carrillo hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Félix Suarez took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wen Ran Fan. Wen Ran Fan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Wen Ran Fan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Carrillo in the 61st minute of play. Edgardo Carrillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wen Ran Fan having to interfere. Manuel Meza kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Wen Ran Fan came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by SantaAna's Oswaldo Reyes. But to his dismay, Oswaldo Reyes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Oswaldo Reyes scored 5-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wen Ran Fan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wen Ran Fan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Carrillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Cerna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Placido Austin fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC PUMA's protests and gave Placido Austin a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC PUMA's Placido Austin got a free kick in the 81st minute. 82 minutes into the match, Oswaldo Reyes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wen Ran Fan. FC PUMA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oswaldo Reyes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. Felipe Cerna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wen Ran Fan having to interfere. Oswaldo Reyes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Wen Ran Fan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, FC PUMA's Daniel Castillo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Salvador Menjivar. Salvador Menjivar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-3. Félix Suarez scored 7-3 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wen Ran Fan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. SantaAna's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
