Bernabe Abajas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Tome having to interfere. When Donato Oxarra came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Deportivo Toluca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Oxarra couldn't finish the play. The Porsche Boxter supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Deportivo Toluca FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Deportivo Toluca FC.
