Pastor Cidro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Armando Matai showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. If Marcial Lorien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantino Irrintzi in the 25th minute of play forced Watt FC's goalkeeper Luisito Abilio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th match minute, Tilcara AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Galo to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Watt FC's Santo Oihenarte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pastor Cidro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Watt FC's Pastor Cidro threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Melquiades Katia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Feliberto Lugo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Armando Matai's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pastor Cidro was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. If Feliberto Lugo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tilcara AFC's Serafino Goiz got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Armando Matai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pastor Cidro having to interfere. Feliberto Lugo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pastor Cidro having to make a save. If Constantino Irrintzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luisito Abilio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcial Lorien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Tilcara AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Feliberto Lugo came free, but Pastor Cidro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
