After a rather tough play, Campos's Pastor Eliazar got a free kick in the 6th minute. Leandro Oton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute Prospero Corderall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Maurin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Omar Vito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Maurin having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Campos's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Oton came free, but Gavino Maurin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prospero Corderall blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gavino Maurin having to make a save. 30 minutes into the match, Leandro Oton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gavino Maurin. Campos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Oton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Leandro Oton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Maurin having to interfere. Pastor Eliazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Prospero Corderall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leandro Oton in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavino Maurin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Maquinchao FC's Tomás Magdaleno got control of the ball when Mauricio Dodorol tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pastor Eliazar to make the kick off. When Pastor Macario fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Campos's protests and gave Pastor Macario a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Pastor Macario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute of the match Alonzo Delfino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomás Magdaleno skillfully saved the ball. Mauricio Dodorol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Magdaleno having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Pastor Eliazar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Campos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Mauricio Dodorol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Campos's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Dodorol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Magdaleno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 69 minutes into the game, one of Maquinchao FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Campos a penalty, 71 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alonzo Delfino, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Maquinchao FC's Tomás Magdaleno. 2-1. In the 74th minute, Prospero Corderall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Maquinchao FC's zone, Pastor Eliazar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Magdaleno came out of the goal and Pastor Eliazar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 3-1 became the score in the 81st minute when Pastor Eliazar elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Prospero Corderall got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pastor Eliazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Maquinchao FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Campos.
