Pedro Jerano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After 21 played minutes PUMAS got a freekick which was hit by Carolo Vito. In the 23rd match minute, PUMAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocencio Playo to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Inocencio Playo during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cristian Estebano went to the wrong direction when Baldomero Txartiko was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Cristian Estebano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Troiani in the 31st minute of play. Cristian Estebano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Jerano in the 31st minute. Cristian Estebano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dave Troiani's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Delmiro Chaime was the one to do the kick off. Aaron Donostia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis Corderro in the 57th minute. Pedro Jerano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Cristian Estebano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carolo Vito kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Deportivo Tachira made a substitution. Zacarias Gartzen replaced Moises Servando. 84 minutes into the match, PUMAS's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Troiani came free, but Cristian Estebano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 88 minutes of play, Deportivo Tachira's Dave Troiani made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cristian Estebano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aaron Donostia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Chaime, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The PUMAS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
