If Dave Troiani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Jerano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Reynaldo Dubardo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Pedro Jerano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Dubardo having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Deportivo Tachira's Dave Troiani dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dave Troiani made the kick off in the second half. Reynaldo Dubardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Jerano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anacleto Piarres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 61 played minutes Larroude FC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Meendez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Troiani in the 64th minute of play forced Larroude FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Dubardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute Dave Troiani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Dubardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Larroude FC's Denis Haitz got his second yellow card of the match in the 66th minute. The referee ordered Denis Haitz off the ground. The supporters of Deportivo Tachira booed when Larroude FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Haitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Dubardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Troiani, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 91 minutes into the game, Dave Troiani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Reynaldo Dubardo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anacleto Piarres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Donostia having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Deportivo Tachira had played much better football throughout.
