The crowd rose to their feet as Cornelio Gergori kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lucas Abadie. That made the score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. After 27 played minutes Real San Luis got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Gartzea. In the 35th match minute, Stephenson FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Amor to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Stephenson FC's zone, Cornelio Gergori stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Abadie came out of the goal and Cornelio Gergori tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cornelio Gergori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victor Beat stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Filomeno Tonio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victor Tino didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 61st minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Lucas Abadie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelio Gergori, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the game, Real San Luis's Victor Beat nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucas Abadie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. When Victor Beat came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Real San Luis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Beat couldn't finish the play. Filomeno Tonio in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Victor Tino, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 91st minute, Jorge Mosen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victor Tino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genaro Belo, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Victor Beat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Abadie having to interfere. Real San Luis's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
