If Marcos Lartaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Christian Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcos Lartaun in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Tino saved Real San Luis from getting behind. Bernabe Maore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Beat in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Real San Luis booed when Qatar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Rios didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 minutes, Cornelio Gergori mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real San Luis and the Qatar players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 11 played minutes Real San Luis got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Gergori. German Bartolome charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Victor Beat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Maore having to interfere. Fernando Iigo charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Iigo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee gave Real San Luis a penalty, 39 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gabriel Gartzea, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Qatar's Bernabe Maore. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Christian Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Victor Tino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Real San Luis's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
