Chivas FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 8 minutes into the match, Domingo Matteo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Celso Gentza, 2-0. Domingo Matteo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Celso Gentza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Chivas FC's Joel Cresencio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Celso Gentza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Domingo Matteo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Celso Gentza skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Roque Inocente came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Lonquimay AFC's Lucas Emmanuel. But to his dismay, Lucas Emmanuel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Domingo Matteos short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Celso Gentza to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Celso Gentza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingo Matteo's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Domingo Matteo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chivas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingo Matteo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso Gentza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the game, Lonquimay AFC's Severino Nuno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roque Inocente made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The audience was convinced that Domingo Matteo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celso Gentza was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Domingo Matteo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Gentza having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, Domingo Matteo lined in a short shot 3-2 behind a frustrated Celso Gentza. If Domingo Matteo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domingo Matteo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucas Emmanuel was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Domingo Matteo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lonquimay AFC's Celso Gentza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chivas FC's Mauro Endira got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Domingo Matteo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celso Gentza having to make a save. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Gentza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Domingo Matteo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celso Gentza was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. 98 minutes in the game, Lucas Emmanuel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Roque Inocente having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Chivas FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
